Apprentices

I have been having apprentices in my workshop since 2010 when I was approached by a ‘Young German Potter on a Journey’. Frauke Abel (www.fraukeramik.de/) came for a few months and opened up the possibility of having people here to learn and work. Since then I have had a dozen young (and not so young) people working with me from all over the world.

It is a win/win situation. They learn about porcelain, making skills and vapour glazing and I have help with production.

2022 UPDATE

I have stopped regular production and will no longer be taking on live-in, full time apprentices.
However, I will continue to teach from my workshop most weekends and am open to differing needs and levels.
