“I love making bowls: ones to eat my cereal and soup or elegant petal rim bowls out of finely thrown porcelain with depths of colours to get lost in. The really big decorated bowls have difficulty surviving in my challenging firings but the ones I do get through can be spectacular and worth the risk. ( consequently I keep the brandy handy for dealing with the shock of deciding to spend that much on a bowl).
The oval & round dishes are great for baking and serving straight from oven to table. Chicken, vegetables and red pesto stirred up and baked for an hour -easy peasy.”
